Solo with Support.
This purpose and end result of doing this ride is to write a book by the same name. I’m writing the book from the saddle and cannot have any distractions while riding. And because of that I must do this ride solo, like Charles. However, at the end of the day, I would love to share the company of fellow riders, friends and supporters.
Please understand, I have just this ONE chance to do this. Every minute is planned to the minute. Every mile, every conversation, every stop, every meeting has severe time constraints.
So when I say this not a group ride, I don’t intend to offend anyone and if it comes across a bit sharply, I do apologize.
This ride goes far deeper than I can write here. I have family history documents and photos dating back to 1850 and access to things like his father’s violin and a painting of Charles from 1910.
As I was telling my Photog, this is a SCRIPTED ride, not just a planned ride.
